Steps to make a cupcake liner butterfly craft for kids
Step 1
First, grab a cupcake liner, popsicle stick & buttons of your favourite colours.
Step 2
Now, fold the cupcake liner in half as shown below.
Step 3
Cut both the top and bottom sides of the folded liner so that you will get roughly a V shape. Please note, the bottom of this V shape should be a bit flat, not sharp. It should remain between 0.5 to 1 cm in length. (If it is longer than that, the butterfly may not flutter)
Unfold the liner and you will get the butterfly’s wings. Apply some craft glue or wood glue on the popsicle stick and stick the wings as shown below.
Stick two antennae made of construction paper behind the popsicle stick and decorate the butterfly with buttons. You can also stick two eyes if you want to. 🙂
Now, hold the other end of the popsicle stick and start shaking it up and down. You will see the butterfly flutter! isn’t it fun!
