Supplies you need to make a D for Dinosaur craft
- D for Dinosaur printable template (You can download it by signing up for our newsletters below)
- Two popsicle sticks (One for uppercase ‘D’ and one for lowercase ‘d’)
- Glue
- Paint
- White A4 cardstock
- Scissors
- Black marker
- Colored paper pieces
Steps to make a popsicle stick D for dinosaur craft
Creating this cute D for dinosaur craft is a fantastic activity for kids that combines creativity and hands-on learning. They will use their imagination and hands to create a cute dinosaur while also getting to know the letter “D.”
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you and the kids make a delightful popsicle stick dinosaur craft:
Step 1
Download and print the popsicle stick ‘D for dinosaur’ template on a white A4 cardstock paper. You can get access to our printable library by signing up for our newsletters below.
After you sign up, you will get an email to confirm your subscription and once you confirm, you will get another email with a link and password to access our printable library. Open the printable library and you will be able to find our D for Dino template under the section “All Other Printables”.
Step 2

Children can begin by painting the dinosaur template using paint, color pencils, or crayons. Remember to paint all the parts except for the eyes of both the lowercase and uppercase versions of the dinosaur! They can get really creative by trying different colors for their dinosaurs.
While the paint is drying, get two popsicle sticks and paint them. We painted one blue to match our little dino and the other green to match our big dino.
Step 3

Once the paint is dry, cut out all the parts from the template. Kids can now arrange the parts of the lowercase Dino and uppercase dino separately.
We used blue color for the small dino and green color for the big dino.
Step 4
How to make an uppercase D for Dinosaur popsicle stick craft?

Let’s start with the uppercase ‘D’. Stick the green popsicle stick along the side of the D shape.
Stick the dino’s head and tail followed by the legs and eye and then draw a smile using a black marker. Cut out small triangle shapes from colored paper pieces and stick them behind the Dino.

How to make a ‘lowercase d for Dinosaur’ craft?

Stick the blue popsicle stick along the side of the small letter ‘d’.
Stick the head and tail, followed by the eye and legs. Cut out small triangle shapes from colored paper pieces and stick them behind the Dino.
