Looking to learn how to make rubber band bracelets with beads? We have a step by step bead rubber band bracelet tutorial which is super easy to follow. Learn this technique and make your own custom bracelets in less than 10 minutes.
This easy DIY rubber bracelet is a great craft idea to do with school-age kids, teens, tweens, and even adults!
My 5-year-old has recently mastered this technique and she finds it really cool to be able to make her own bracelets. She is so excited to try out various patterns. She still needs help from me to attach the hook at the end. I feel this is a fantastic boredom buster for kids and greatly works on improving their fine motor skills and concentration.
This is a fun craft to do at home or in summer camps! For more summer craft ideas, be sure to check out our huge collection of fun summer crafts for kids.

Supplies you need to make a rubber band bracelet with beads
This bracelet just needs a few basic items which I am sure will readily be available at your home or at your local craft store. Just learn the trick to make this bracelet and try it with your favorite beads and you are going to love it.

1. Small rubber bands. (We use rubber bands to connect the beads together)
2. Beads with big holes. (Make sure the beads have got big holes, otherwise you will have a hard time threading the rubber bands through them)
3. Two pencils.
4. A hook.
How to make a rubber band bracelet with beads
Watch the video below or follow the written instructions! 🙂
Step 1
Take one rubber band and one bead. Now, thread the rubber band through the bead’s hole. Do the same thing for all the rubber bands and beads.

Step 2
Take two pencils to start making the chain. You don’t really need to use pencils for this. You can even use your fingers. But I would recommend using pencils as it is easier.
Put a twisted empty rubber band through both of them.

Step 3
Next, put a beaded rubber band. You don’t have to twist the rubber bands from now onwards. Pull the lower rubber band, take it over the pencil, and put it on top of the rubber band just above it on both sides.

Step 4
Repeat the process of putting beaded rubber bands and pulling the lower rubber band to the top of the upper rubber band. You will soon start seeing a nice pattern being made.

Step 5
Stop this process when you reach your desired length of chain. Now, put another empty rubber band through the pencils. Make sure you don’t twist it.
Again, pull the rubber band just below it to the top of the empty rubber band similar to the previous steps.
Attach hook between the empty rubber bands at both ends and remove the pencils. That’s it! Your own bead rubber band bracelet is ready! Wasn’t it fun? 🙂
