How to make a paper plate Father’s day shirt craft
Step 1
Get a big round paper plate.
Make a cut on two opposite sides approximately at a one-third position of the paper plate. You can use a ruler to make the cuts exactly on the opposite sides.

Step 2
Fold the two flaps we got inwards to get the shape of a shirt’s collar.
Fold the two sides beside the collar backward and cut them off to get the shape of a shirt. Now, kids can paint daddy’s shirt using watercolor or crayons.

Step 3
You can now download and print the tie template from our printable library by signing up for our newsletter below.
After you sign up, you will get an email to confirm your subscription and once you confirm, you will get another email with a link and password to access our printable library. Open the printable library and you will be able to find our neck tie printable under the section “Father’s Day”.
After downloading, print it on a A4 white construction paper.

Step 4
Kids can either color the tie now or decorate it using crystal stickers, tiny paper pieces etc. They can also write their special Father’s Day message for daddy. Once the tie is ready, cut it out.

Stick the tie on the paper plate shirt between the two collars and the gorgeous Father’s Day shirt craft is ready.

We also made more paper plate shirt crafts where we glued some buttons instead of a necktie in the middle. We cut a bow shape out of foam paper and stuck it above the buttons between the collars. If you want to make a bow, you could also use a felt sheet or a piece of cardstock.
