Steps to make a handprint Earth craft for Earth Day

Step 1
First, download the handprint Earth craft printable template on thin white cardstock. Simply enter your details in the form below to access it and join our newsletter.
Once you have it, you’re ready to start the fun.

Step 2
Next, it’s time to add the land. Kids can draw fun lines, squiggles, or little shapes on the round Earth to create the continents. We used blue crayons, but you can also try acrylic paint for a brighter look.
Let kids get creative and fill the space however they like. Every Earth will look a little different, and that makes the craft even more special.

Step 3
Next, fill in the rest of the Earth using blue to show the water. Kids can carefully color around the shapes they just drew.

Step 4
Now it’s time to color the continents. Fill in the shapes you drew earlier using green color. Slowly bring the land to life as the green fills each space. The Earth will start to look colorful and complete.

Step 5
Next, let’s give our Earth a cool and playful look. Color in the sunglasses shapes with black. Then paint the mouth using black and pink markers.

Step 6
Next, carefully cut out the sunglasses shapes and the mouth. Then glue them onto the Earth shape. Soon, your Earth will have a fun and cheerful personality.

Step 7
Next, draw a curved line to connect the two sunglass shapes. Then draw a short line from each side of the sunglasses to the edges.

Step 8
Next, draw two small tips on both sides of the mouth shape. This makes the smile look even more cheerful.
Then trace your child’s handprint on colored paper and cut it out. Finally, glue it behind the Earth face to create a fun, spiky hair look.

Wasn’t it super easy to create our handprint Earth craft!
