How to make a haunted house for kids?
Watch the video at the top or follow the below steps to make this spooky haunted house Halloween craft!
Step 1
Get a cardboard box. Cut and remove any flaps present on it. Then cut the cardboard box using scissors to get the desired height. Grown ups may have to help kids with this step.

Step 2
Apply craft glue/PVA glue on each side of the cardboard box. Then cover the outer sides completely with black construction paper. You can use black paint if you don’t have any black paper handy.

Step 3
Get four toilet paper rolls or paper tubes. The height of the paper rolls should be slightly more than that of the cardboard box. You can use toilet paper rolls if the cardboard box is really short. Otherwise, you can go for longer paper tubes.
You can stack the paper rolls on top of each other and glue them together if you want to make the paper rolls even longer.

Step 4
Apply glue on each of the paper rolls and cover them completely with black paper or paint as shown below.

Step 5
Cut one end of each paper roll to make small rectangle shapes.

Step 6
Similarly, cut the top of the cardboard box too. Now, glue the paper rolls to the four corners of the cardboard box using craft glue/PVA glue.

Step 7
Stick small rectangular pieces of white paper on the paper rolls using a glue stick.

Step 8
Cut small shapes out of white paper to make the scary face.

Step 9
Stick the shapes on the cardboard box and the scary face is ready! Now, stick a small piece of paper to make the door for this spooky Haunted House craft.

Yay! The DIY haunted house craft is ready. Wasn’t it super easy and quick? This DIY castle is a great Halloween project to do with kids and a great way to recycle some old cardboard boxes.

You can use a bigger cardboard box if you want to make a bigger haunted house.
