How to make a lavender egg carton flower? Step by step instructions
Step 1
Get an empty egg carton and cut the pointy pieces off to make the petals of the lavender. Now, for each of those pointy pieces, cut the 4 sides out and shape them into rounded petals using scissors. This will give them a flower shape. We made these flowers slightly varying in size.
Once you have made the flower shapes, paint them outside and inside. Let them dry. We used purple watercolor outside and a lighter purple shade inside. Since we used watercolor, it took longer for them to dry.

Step 2
Once the paint dries, poke a hole in the base of each of these flower shapes using a safety pin or a craft knife. This step should only be performed by a grown-up.
Now, take a bamboo stick out of a bamboo sushi mat, or alternatively, use a bamboo skewer. Paint it green.
Poke the smallest of the flower shapes through this bamboo skewer and fix it on top of the skewer using hot glue. Adults should help younger kids with this step as it involves the use of hot glue.

Step 3
Likewise, take each of the flower shapes, thread them through the bottom of the bamboo stick and fix them in place using hot glue.

Step 4
Once all the petals are fixed, slightly bend them outwards to make them look more full. Cut a small leaf shape out of the egg carton lid. Paint it green and stick it on the bamboo stick.

The beautiful lavender egg carton flower craft is ready.

Don’t they look lovely?! This is a great craft idea for teens and tweens. Preschoolers and elementary school kids can also make this with the help of a grown-up.
