How to make a simple paper Christmas tree craft
Step 1
Download the Christmas tree template and print it on an A4 cardstock or construction paper of any color. If you will use glitter glue, finger paint, or a lot of decorations, I would recommend printing it on cardstock as it is sturdier than construction paper.

Step 2
Cut out the Christmas tree and the star shape using scissors.

Step 3
Using a ruler, make a fold from the top tip of the Christmas tree to the bottom mid-point.

Step 4
Time to decorate the tree on both sides of the fold we just made.
We made several Christmas trees and decorated them with glitter glue, small pieces of paper, etc. You can use a paper punch to make small circle-shaped paper pieces that you can stick onto the tree. We also tried some wavy designs with glitter glue on one of the Christmas trees. Kids can be as creative as they want with this step.
If you are using glitter glue, you may have to wait at least an hour for the glue to fully dry. But it will depend on the type of glitter glue you are using.
Step 5
Trace and cut a star shape out of glitter paper using the star template from step 2. Apply a drop of glue at the top of the Christmas tree, gently stick one corner of the star on top of the tree, and wait for the glue to dry before you pick it up again.

Once the star and the decorative items are glued and fixed in place, gently lift up the tree and place it upright. The beautiful DIY paper Christmas tree craft is ready! The fold we made in the middle gives it a 3d look and helps it stand upright.
Aren’t they so pretty?
