Steps to Make a Hedgehog Craft
Making this paper hedgehog is so easy! Follow the simple steps below to create your own adorable hedgehog.
Step 1
Download the printable hedgehog craft template by signing up through the form below. Print page 1 on colored cardstock. Print page 2 on colored construction paper. Print page 3 on white construction paper.

Step 2
Color the nose black with a marker. Then, carefully cut out all the pieces of the template.

Step 3
Fold the main hedgehog body piece in half.

Step 4
Take the rectangle-shaped piece with the dotted lines. Make folds on both sides along the dotted lines to create two tabs.

Step 5
Apply glue to each tab. Stick the first tab underneath one edge of the hedgehog body piece.

Step 6
Next, stick the other tab on top of the opposite side of the hedgehog body piece. Press it down firmly to secure it in place. Now you have a 3D triangle-shaped hedgehog body!

Step 7
Next, stick the hedgehog’s eyes and nose onto the front of the body.

Step 8
Now for the fun part! Take the diamond-shaped paper pieces. We’re going to use them to make the hedgehog’s spines.

Step 9
Fold each diamond-shaped paper piece in half, so the two sides slightly cross over each other.

Step 10
Next, glue the folded shapes onto the hedgehog’s body, starting just above the eyes and working in rows. Apply a small amount of glue to the bottom of just one side of each fold. This will secure the shape while leaving the two sides slightly raised to create the hedgehog’s spines.
