Tutorial- How do you make a paper plate walking dinosaur craft?
Step 1
To make our fun walking dino craft, first, get a clean white paper plate. We will paint a forest theme on the paper plate for the dino to walk.
We painted the sky first using light blue watercolor. You may also use crayons or acrylic paint for this. Watercolor may turn the paper plate a bit soggy if you add a lot of water.
Then we painted a small sand hill for the dino to walk on and a tree near it. You can add more trees, leaves, rocks, etc. if you want. Let the kids use their own imaginations to make a beautiful forest theme!

Step 2
We added the sun and some clouds to the sky. Wait for the paint to dry completely.

Step 3

Now draw some circles in different sizes on the dinosaur body. Also, draw a small mouth. Now, color it and cut it out. Add two small Googly eyes. You just made a cute stegosaurus!
Stick a popsicle stick behind the dino’s front leg using PVA glue. While the glue is drying, let’s make a small slit on the paper plate using a craft knife (grown-ups only) along the top of the sandhill. Make sure you don’t make a cut on the paper plate rim, to prevent the paper plate from tearing apart.

Now the fun part begins. Insert the dinosaur craft with the popsicle stick through the slit we made. The dinosaur will look like it is standing on the sandhill while you are holding the popsicle stick behind the paper plate. Gently move the popsicle stick forward and you will see the dino walking with a happy face!

We made one more walking dinosaur from the same template!
