Supplies you need to make a pom pom Easter egg craft
- Colorful pom poms of various sizes
- Thick white cardstock
- Colored A4 cardstock
- Glue
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Paper knife (optional)
Steps to make a pom pom Easter egg craft for kids
Step 1
Get a colored A4 cardstock and cut out a paper strip from the shorter side. We marked 1.5 cm on both sides of the cardstock, made a fold along these markings, and cut out the paper strip using scissors along the crease.
Please note, the width on either side of this paper strip should be the same. So, it is important you first measure the width using a ruler.
Make two tiny folds on the paper strip on both sides.

Step 2
Apply glue inside one of the folds we made on the paper strip and stick it on top of the other fold. Wait for the glue to dry.
Now, carefully make a curved shape outwards where the two folds met so we will get an egg shape.
Stick this egg shape on a thick white A4 cardstock. Make sure there are no gaps when you stick the edges.
Wait for the glue to dry. It may take at least 15 minutes for the egg to stick properly and stay in place if you are using the normal craft glue.
Younger kids may need help with the above steps, particularly with the measuring and cutting part.
Now, comes the most exciting part. Get some colorful pom poms and ask the kids to stick them inside the egg shape. You can apply a good amount of glue on the white cardstock inside the egg shape before they stick the pom poms.
Kids can also apply glue on the pom poms if they think they need more. Stick them inside the egg, and press the pom poms firmly so they will stay in place.

Step 3
Once the egg shape is filled with pom poms, wait for the whole craft to dry. It may take at least an hour for normal craft glue.
Once the craft looks dry, use a paper-knife (to be used by grown-ups only) or scissors to cut it out of the cardstock. You can also make another egg craft on the same cardstock.
