Steps to make a popsicle stick school bus
You can personalize this school bus craft with your kids’ photos and use it as a photo frame if you like.
So, get your popsicle sticks ready – let’s get crafting!
Step 1
Download and print the popsicle stick school bus template on a white A4 construction paper. You can get access to our printable library by signing up for our newsletters below.
After you sign up, you will get an email to confirm your subscription and once you confirm, you will get another email with a link and password to access our printable library. Open the printable library and you will be able to find our school bus template under the section “Back to School”.

Step 2
Get three or four jumbo and five thin popsicle sticks and paint them yellow. We used yellow acrylic paint. Let the paint dry.

Step 3
Let’s make the school bus frame now. Place the jumbo popsicle sticks side by side and stick them together using hot glue. Please note, hot glue should be handled by grown-ups. You can also use PVA glue. But you may have to wait a little longer for it to dry.
Place one thin popsicle stick horizontally and stick the other four below it vertically with the fourth one slightly at an angle.
Stick the jumbo popsicle stick structure over the thin popsicle sticks covering them slightly as shown in the picture. Our school bus frame is ready.

Step 4
Cut out the parts of the template. Stick the kids’ and the driver’s pictures behind the windows. Trim off any excess paper sticking out of the windows using scissors.
You can use your kids’ photos too in this step to make a back-to-school photo frame.
Using the big circle, trace and cut out a circle from black cardstock. Stick the small white circle in the middle of this black circle to make a wheel. Make one more wheel and stick them at the bottom of our bus.
Finally, stick some buttons or decorative stickers for the lights at the front and back. You can also use a piece of metallic paper cut out in the form of a circle instead.

Our popsicle stick school bus craft is ready. Isn’t it cute?!
