Steps to make a jellyfish scissor skills craft
Get ready for a fun and educational crafting experience as we take you through the exciting process of bringing your jellyfish to life!
Step 1
Purchase the jellyfish cutting activity printable from our shop. Download and print three copies of page 1 of the template on a white A4 cardstock. Print pages 2,3 and 4 of the template on colored A4 construction papers.

Step 2
Color the jellyfish’s face with your favorite colors using paint, crayons, or markers. We used acrylic paint.
We have three tentacle patterns, so let’s make three jellyfish faces and cut them out.

Step 3
Now is the fun part!
Hand the scissors to the kids and have them carefully cut out the patterns – straight lines, curvy lines, and zigzag lines to create the jellyfish’s tentacles. For beginners, starting with the straight-line patterns is a great way to get comfortable before trying the other ones.
As kids get more confident with their scissors, they’ll have a blast cutting out the colorful tentacles.

Step 4
It’s time to bring your colorful jellyfish to life!
Now that the tentacles are cut out, let’s assemble the jellyfish! Take the straight tentacles and attach them behind one jellyfish face. Do the same with the curved ones for the second jellyfish, and the zigzag ones for the third.
Wasn’t this printable jellyfish cutting activity craft a blast?
Now, kids can proudly showcase their fantastic sea animal creations by hanging them up or displaying them on the wall.
