How to Make a Paper Lighthouse Craft for Preschoolers
Step 1
First, download the paper lighthouse craft template and print it on white cardstock. The printable template is available for purchase in our shop. If you’re using the black-and-white version, let the kids color their own lighthouse with colored pencils, crayons, or markers.

Step 2
Carefully cut out all the pieces from the template.

Step 3
Let’s start putting the lighthouse craft together. Take a sheet of cardstock and stick the green grass piece along the bottom edge of the paper. We used blue cardstock for the sky, but you can choose any color you like.

Step 4
Next, stick the main lighthouse piece in the middle of the cardstock, placing it just above the grass.

Step 5
Next, stick the two small trapezoid pieces along the dashed lines on the lighthouse. This is a great opportunity to teach kids about shapes as they build their paper lighthouse craft.

Step 6
Now, stick the red rectangular strip along the top of the main lighthouse piece.

Step 7
Then, stick the black rectangle on top of the red rectangular strip, making sure the edges line up.

Step 8
It’s time to add the roof! Stick the red triangle just above the black rectangle.

Step 9
Now let’s add the lighthouse light! Stick the yellow circle in the middle of the black rectangle.

Step 10
To complete the lighthouse light, stick the two yellow triangles on either side of the black rectangle to create the light rays.

Step 11
Let’s complete the scene by adding the two clouds to the blue cardstock sky.
