Steps to make a tulip card craft for kids
Step 1
Download the tulip card printable template from our printable library by signing up for our newsletters below.
After you sign up, you will get an email to confirm your subscription and once you confirm, you will get another email with a link and password to access our printable library. Open the printable library and you will be able to find our tulip printable under the section “Mother’s Day”.
Print page 1 of the template on purple A4 construction paper, page 2 of the template on green A4 cardstock, and page 3 of the template on orange A4 construction paper. (Alternatively, you can print pages 1 and 3 on white A4 construction paper, and page 2 on white A4 cardstock, and the kids can color them in.)

Step 2
Cut out all the parts from the template.

Step 3
First, stick two green paper strips onto a blue A4 cardstock to make the stems. To adjust the height, simply trim off the end of each stem.
Now, it’s time to make the tulip flowers. We need three petal shapes to make one flower.
Fold one petal in half. Add glue to one of the folded halves. Attach it to the middle of the second petal, making sure the edges align correctly. Now we have one beautiful tulip flower!
Create a second flower by following the same steps, and then attach them to the stems.

Step 4
Fold the green card in half horizontally. Use scissors to create V-shaped cuts along the open side for a grassy look.
Stick it at the very bottom of the blue cardstock with the grass at the top covering the stems.

Step 5
Fold the leaf in half and apply glue outside one of the folded halves. Glue it at the bottom of the tulip plant overlapping the grass.
Stick the orange sun at the top right corner of the blue cardstock. Stick the small triangle-shaped sun rays around it.
Now, the gorgeous tulip card is ready awaiting your secret message! To finish the card, open the green fold at the bottom and add your message for Mother’s Day.
Once you’ve written it, fold it back up and hand it over to Mom!

The tulip flowers, grass, and leaf stand off the card to give it a 3d look which makes the card look so pretty.
